Nature’s
Creations Aromatherapy is a Vancouver based manufacturer and retailer of
100% natural, botanical aromatherapy products.
Suzanne Laurin-Seale set out to create an alternative aromatherapy
and body care company that truly was pure and natural.
In the beginning the products were purchased from various companies
around the world. However, upon
the realization of the potentially harmful ingredients they contained, she came to the conclusion that the products she wanted to provide
her customers and herself were not readily available, and that if these
kind of products were going to exist, she would have to create them.
Sourcing
out premium quality ingredients to begin her formulations was not an easy
task, and in total, it took 3 years to produce the bulk of Nature’s
Creations Aromatherapy line. Even
with an extensive line in place, new products, ingredients and improvements
to existing products is a constant priority.
The focus has remained to create and provide 100% natural, skincare,
and bodycare products that promote beautiful healthy skin, body and mind.
The
uncompromising all-natural process has sometimes been frustrating.
Because of her “naturally focused and quality driven” approach,
Nature’s Creations has lost potential opportunities to franchise, has been
underbid, and has been advised that their strict quality control would be
very restrictive to success in the cosmetic industry.
Even so, they are not willing to compromise quality and believes
that past losses are simply growing pains that all forward thinking
companies encounter. The many decisions to remain true to the 100% natural
concept has not always been easy; however
they believe in what they create and could not imagine producing
any other kind of product.
Financially,
the company has seen business increase steadily from year to year with
projections far exceeding the initial plan.
An e-commerce site is presently up and running which not
only offers customers a convenient way to shop but also acts as an educational
tool for anyone interested in educating themselves on the therapeutic use
and effects of G.C.M.S. tested
aromatherapy products.
New
developments include the hiring of marketing
and publicity teams, a fabulous new lounge area added on to the day spa to
ensure privacy and added luxury to the natural spa experience.
